Parallaxe is a new brand, which kicks off at this year`s Musikmesse in Frankfurt. It is a sub-brand of the world-wide famous Washburn Guitars. Launch of this brand signifies Washburn`s return to metal-oriented guitars. Parallaxe models will be in an affordable region, with price tags ranging from $750 to $1,300. This range is the section where the competition is strongest and most vicious. All brands are giving their best to come up with affordable guitars with professional quality. Parallaxe will compete with three series and 13 models distributed among them. PXM and PXS offer double-cut guitars, while the PXL is dedicated to single-cuts. PXM18EB is the only eight-stringer in the PXM series. It comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder. Carved top is completely stripped off decorative and non-essential features. Body of this model is available in Black with matte finish and black hardware. Hardtail bridge has eight adjustable saddles and features string-through construction. Juggernaut EMG 808 pickups are installed in the front. Five-piece mahogany/maple neck is bolted to the body and topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. 27" scale, Grover tuners and Buzz Feiten tuning system close the specs list for this eight-string monster.
