PXS20EC is a model from the PXS series of the newly found Parallaxe Guitars. This series is a sub-brand of the world-famous Washburn Guitars. Washburn is one of the oldest and most versatile brands of string instruments in the world. Their metal-oriented electric guitars segment has been going through some rough times in past few years, being overrun by competition. But, at Musikmesse 2013 in Frankfurt, Washburn strikes back with full force, introducing the long anticipated Parallaxe Guitars brand. This new brand kicks off with three series and 13 models in them. PXM and PXS hdel with double-cut guitars, while the PXL offers single-cut models. PXS20EC is a fixed-bridge variant of the PXS20FR and it comes with a solid, double-cut body made entirely of alder. Spartan styling is characteristic for the entire catalog and PXS20EC is no exception. Carved top features no decorative, or unnecessary appointments. Bridge section on this black-clad monster is equipped with a lone tune-o-matic bridge. In it`s front Parallaxe installs a pair of EMGs. 81 is in the bridge and 85 in the neck position. Set in maple neck is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard with custom 12th fret inlay. Grover tuners, 25-1/2" scale and Buzz Feiten tuning system wrap the specs list for this one.
