Ola Englund is the latest addition to the signature artist family in Washburn catalog and PX-Solar is his signature line. Thus far, the series has been introduced with eight models based on the same concept: solid and double-cut guitars with passive electronics, hardtail bridges and 24-fret fingerboards. None of the introduced models has tremolo, or Floyd Rose bridge. PX-Solar 6DLXC is the upgraded variant of the PX-Solar 6C. It is an upper mid-range six-stringer with a solid, double-cut alder body and maple neck. Washburn offers this metal machine in only one color option, black with matte finish and black hardware.Bridge section is fit with the fantastic Ever Tune bridge with six saddles. Washburn and Ola claim that this bridge is the ultimate hardtail bridge out there. Pickups combo is made up of the series standard Seymour Duncan SH1 and SH14 humbuckers. Master volume, master tone and the five-position blade switch comprise the controls. Here, the blade switch serves as the coil-splitting switch, as well. Maple neck is ultra fast and sleek and might require some getting used to for the players who have thus far played on bulkier vintage necks. 24-fret ebony fingerboard with the custom 12th fret Ola Englund inlay and Grover tuners on the headstock complete the specs list.
