PX-Solar 17DLXC is an intermediate model from Ola Englund`s signature Solar series. Along with the other seven models, 17DLXC comes with the classic combination of alder body and maple neck. Body of this intermediate seven-stringer is solid, double-cut and carved on the top. One of the interesting facts is that Ola himself designed these guitars and was a very active member of the team in their creation. 17DLXC is made for players who want a solid, reliable seven-stringer with a sensible price tag. Main color scheme for the entire series is Black Matte with black hardware and this model is no exception. On the top, instead of the standard hardtail bridge, there is an Evertune bridge, securing the ultimate tuning and intonation stability. In the front, Washburn and Ola have decided to use the deadly Seymour Duncan SH1/TB14-7 combo of passive humbuckers. The simple and user-friendly controls unit is made up of a master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. Maple neck is fast, smooth and very comfortable. On it`s top, Washburn installs a bound fingerboard made of rosewood. 24 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and fairly narrow (considering iti is a seven-stringer) string nut complete the fingerboard.
