PX-Solar series is the latest addition to the mighty Washburn Parallaxe range. It is Ola Englund`s signature guitar range with the initial lineup eight models strong. PX-Solar 170C is one of the more affordable options, being in the same league with the 160WHM model. It comes with a solid and double-cut body with modern design and construction (all of the Solar range models are designed by Ola Englund himself). 170C features the standard alder/maple construction, where the body is made of alder and neck is made of maple. Washburn and Ola are keeping things simple on this intermediate seven-stringer, offering only Black Matte color scheme with black hardware. Regular hardtail bridge is installed on the top and is fronted with a set of Duncan Designed humbuckers. Passive pickups are controlled through master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch. Maple neck is very fast and comfortable to accommodate all the players used to high performance metal guitars. On it`s top, there`s the series standard 24-fret ebony fingerboard. It has large frets and Ola Englund`s custom 12th fret inlay. Grover tuners on the headstock wrap the specs list up.
