V is one of the most metal guitar shapes ever created. It started it`s life back in 1957 and had a pretty bad start. Late 1950s and the early 1960s were the golden days of big old Les Paul and Stratocaster and heavy metal was still a decade, or so away. V had to wait for around 20 years to become fully recognized guitar and an emblem of youth and rebellion. HM series offers Washburn`s take on this timeless axe. WV 40V has a solid, flat-top body made of mahogany. It comes in black and has black hardware. Floyd Rose bridge is installed on the top and it`s fronted by a pair of EMG humbuckers. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 24-fret phenolic fingerboard.
