The year is 1975 and a small guitar retail store with a repair shop in the back is starting its business in Tokyo. But, the fate has something else in store for Electric Sound Products. Something completely different. Fast forward to 2015 and one of the greatest guitar companies in the world is presenting its super exclusive 40th anniversary guitar lineup at the world`s most important event in guitar industry, the great NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. The four-piece 40th Anniversary Series is made up of three LTD and one ESP model. EC-2015 40th Anniversary, H-7 2015 40th Anniversary and MH-2015 40th Anniversary are on the LTD side, while the ESP Eclipse 40th is on the ESP side of the series.
Solid and single-cut EC-2015 40th Anniversary opens up the LTD side of this exclusive series. This gorgeous EC comes with premium hardware and electronics, and top shelf tonewoods, as well. Solid mahogany base and carved quilt maple top comprise the body of this black-clad six-string. Two piece bridge unit and EMG MetalWorks 57/66 combo are featured on the top. LTD MH-2015 40th Anniversary is the only six-string double-cut in this celebratory series. It comes with a classic MH series Soloist body clad in silent, yet menacing satin black hide. Mahogany body of this beast is topped with an exquisite quilt maple top and combined with a set-through maple neck. EMG MetalWorks 57/66 pickups combo, Tune-o-matic bridge, LTD locking tuners and 24-fret ebony fingerboard are also featured on this stealthy battle axe. H7-2015 40th Anniversary completes the LTD trinity in this majestic series. It is the only seven-stringed guitar in the lineup and only 200 of these will be made for the world-wide distribution. Solid and double-cut mahogany body with quilt maple top, set-through maple neck with thin U profile, 24-fret ebony fingerboard, LTD tuners and EMG MetalWorks 57-7/66-7 pickups combo are featured on this model. As the only model with two color options, ESP Eclipse 40th is also the only one to feature two electronics options. Satin Black variant retains the EMG MetalWorks 57/66 pickups combo known from the LTD side of the series, while the Tiger Eye switches over to the passive side with Seymour Duncan`s APH-1B/APH-1N humbuckers. Other than that, and the hardware color (black chrome on STBLK; gold on Tiger Eye), these two are identical. Mahogany/flame maple body, set through maple neck with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard on top and Gotoh hardware wrap the essential features list.
