Dobro is, along with National and Regal, the world`s most famous brand of resonator guitars. The Dobro company was founded in 1928 but the brand Dobro is since 1994 a property of Gibson Guitar Corporation. Today, Dobro models are sold through Epiphone, with the current lineup consisting of only two wooden Hound Dog models. Dobro Hound Dog Square Neck rocks acoustic-electric setup, w/Fishman`s Resonator Pickup system at the helm. Key construction features include laminated flame maple back, sides, and top, 12th fret set-in neck joint, Dobro cone w/10.5" cover, and vintage hardware. Vintage Brown is the only available color option. Other notable features include a solid mahogany neck w/square profile, a 19-fret fingerboard, 25" scale, spider bridge w/ebony-tipped maple base, and Grover tuners.
