RM-998 D is a model from Recording King series of steel-bodied resonators. It comes with mostly shared specs list with the model named RM-998 SM. These two are the more vintage-oriented pair, while on the other side, 991 models have a bit more contemporary design. 998 D is a non-cutaway resonator with a body made of brass. Top panel of the body is decorated with a very elegant resonator cone, which is topped with a trapezoid tailpiece, also made of metal. Top panel also features a pair of "f" holes Mahogany-made neck on this resonator has a rounded profile and it sports a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard on it`s top. Fingerboard is also equipped with dot inlays and 1-11/16" wide nut.
