RM-998 RM features more vintage looks than RM-991 models and it comes with a standard non-cutaway body made of brass. Body of this model is fully acoustic, as it features no amplification systems whatsoever. Top is equipped with a resonator cap in the center and a pair of vintage-styled "f" holes on the sides. Bridge section is equipped with a trapezoid tailpiece, which is an integral part of the resonator cone. This fully acoustic resonator is made for the players who stand up while they play, as it features a rounded neck contour. On the other side, resonators made for playing while sitting down usually sport a square contour. Neck on this model is made of a single piece of mahogany and it is topped with a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard.
