For 2012 he joins forces with PRS luthiers to bring a brand new Cody Kilby Private Stock Acoustic guitar made of exclusive tonewoods and premium hardware appointments. Cody Kilby Private Stock Acoustic comes as a non-cutaway acoustic guitar made of cocobolo back and sides and Adirondack spruce top. It comes available in natural color with a gloss finish. The top on this sex-stringer is fat and features no pickguards in order not to obstruct the resonance and tone projection. The bridge is made of ebony and features belly shape, black string pins and white bone saddle. In the amplification area, the situation is controlled by PRS made pickup system. The neck is made of mahogany and features a dovetail joint set at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of ebony and sports 21 frets with green abalone J bird inlays. Other features on Cody Kilby Private Stock Acoustic model include: mixture of x and classical bracing, 1.81" wide bone nut, high modulus carbon fiber truss rod and Robson hand-machined tuners.
