Alex Lifeson, Rush`s main and only six-string man, is one of very few players who have ever been treated to a Private Stock PRS signature model. His Private Stock model is based on another already existing model, the Private Stock Angelus Cutaway. The differences are mostly cosmetic. Private Stock Alex Lifeson Thinline Signature Acoustic starts off with a 15-1/2" wide single-cut acoustic body (PRS Angelus Cutaway body) made of koa (back and sides) and European bearclaw spruce (top). Brazilian rosewood is offered as alternative back and sides material. Mahogany neck is attached at the 14th fret and is topped with a 21-fret ebony fingerboard (1-3/4" bone nut, bird inlays, 25-1/4" scale). Players can choose between Fishman pickup/preamp combo and L.R. Baggs Lyric system. Ebony bridge and gold-plated PRS tuners complete this acoustic-electric marvel.
