AS series from Cort Guitars is a line of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars with a clear priority being the tone. Everything on these guitars is subjected to the goal of obtaining the ultimate tone possible in their price range. AS-E4 is a dreadnought shaped model from the AS series and it comes with non-cutaway construction. Back and side panels on this model are made of mahogany, while the top is made of spruce. This top panel is bound in several layers of binding and equipped with an elegant abalone rosette. Belly shaped bridge on AS-E4 is made of rosewood. Neck is made of mahogany and it sports Cort`s standard C contour. It is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Nickel plated hardware and 25-3/10" scale complete the specs list.
