Dao is a high-quality tonewood, abundant in the east and southeast regions of Asia. Thus, it is heavily used by Cort and other east Asian brands. It boasts great, punchy tone with strong mid-range and beautiful grain structure.
SFX-DAO is a brand new 2016 model. It is a part of the modern SFX series of acoustic-electric guitars. SFX-DAO comes in with a compact, single-cut body made entirely of dao and a glued-in neck made of mahogany. The neck features a rather modern profile in the back and a standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. The electronics section includes a ceramic pickup (Cort`s favorite pickup option) and a stock CE304T preamp. Standard rosewood bridge and a set of die-cast tuners complete this modern steel-string beauty.
