Pro series is one of the best and most perspective acoustic guitar lines introduced this year into the beginner class. PRO-1 is the basic and most affordable model of the bunch with MSRP set at $119. It is a dreadnought guitar with non-cutaway design and reduced body depth (a measure to cut the costs). This basic model is available in five color options: Blueburst, Vintage Sunburst, Ebony, Wine Red and Natural. All of them are finished in gloss and all have the same Epiphone hardware. Back and sides of the body are made of laminated mahogany, while the top is made of spruce. Rosewood bridge is fixed and belly-shaped. Also, it has the modern NuBone string saddle. There are no electronics featured on this model, nor are there any in the additional equipment department. Mahogany neck is attached to the body with a dovetail joint and rocks the C contour in the back. On it`s top, Epiphone installs the standard 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Standard-sized frets with dot inlays, 1.68" wide NuBone string nut and side dot markers complete the fingerboard. Epiphone`s own chrome-plated tuning machines wrap up the specs list.
