With a comfortable concert contour, magnificent tone and beautiful vintage design, M-140 is one of the favorites of the intermediate class. It starts off with a classic mahogany/spruce combo where the African mahogany is used for the back and sides and solid Sitka spruce for the sound board. Multi-ply black and white binding, tortoise shell pickguard and a double rosette made of abalone grace the top. Sound-wise, the warmth of mahogany and spruce`s snap mix wonderfully within the compact body (on the inside Guild employs the Westerly Concert Sitka Spruce Scalloped X type of bracing). C-contoured mahogany neck is attached at the 14th fret and features a short 24-3/4" scale. On it`s top, Guild installs a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and 16" radius.
