Martin Guitars have updated the catalog for 2012 with many new models, and they were all unveiled at NAMM Show earlier this year. One of these models is Special Edition Series 000C Nylon classically shaped acoustic-electric guitar. It`s body is made of solid sapele back and sides with solid spruce top. The top is flat and bound in tortoise binding. Sound hole rosette is made of a single herringbone circle, but the pickguards are omitted. This nylon-stringer comes in natural color with gloss finish on top and satin on back and sides. The bridge on 000C is made of black richlite and sports a classic shape with tie-block and dropped-in saddle. In the electronics department, Fishman F1 analog system takes care of the amplification. Under-saddle pickup is accompanied by a preamp with side-mounted volume and tone knobs. The neck on this model is made of selected hardwood and features Martin`s own low profile and mortise & tenon joint at the 12th fret. The fingerboard matches the bridge and is made of black richlite. It sports 20 frets without position inlays, 1.875" wide TUSQ nut. The MSRP for 000C Nylon is set at $1,999.
