512ce 12 Fret FLTD is a part of the Fall 2014 Limited Edition range. This exquisite steel-stringer owes it`s name to it`s key features (like every other acoustic Taylor model) and the position within the range. Number 12 suggests that it is a full- sized grand concert body contour with the short 24-7/8" scale. Letters "c" and "e" tell that this 512 is a single-cut guitar loaded with premium electronics. Beneath the saddle, there is a piezo pickup, while the side of the body is fit with the control knobs. 12 Fret in it``s name indicates that, despite it`s steel-string heritage, 512ce rocks the 12th fret neck joint (14th fret joint is the industry-wide standard). Accordingly, the number of frets has been reduced down to 18. Body of this single-cut acoustic-electric is made of Australian blackwood, while the top is made of solid sitka spruce. A, strong and penetrating tone of the 512ce has it`s own character and justifies the money invested in it. Neck is made of tropical mahogany and features the series standard fingerboard with 18 frets. Taylor tuners wrap up the spec list. The MSRP is set at $3,598.
