FG800 is the basic model of the FG series` current incarnation. It is a beginner/lower itnermediate class dreadnought made primarily for beginners and players who want an affordable support guitar. Also, it is one of the best choices for performances around the campfire. That being said, FG800 offers stock hardware, fully acoustic construction (there are no pickups, mics, preamps), and laminated tonewoods. 25-9/16" scale, standard 14th fret dovetail joint, and a full-sized dreadnouhgt body are the main ingredients. The super-affordable 800 is available only in natural (w/black binding, tortoise pickguard, chrome-plated hardware, gloss finish) and costs $325.00 (that`s MSRP, not the actual retail price). Other noteworthy features include mahogany back/sides, spruce top, nato neck, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard, fixed rosewood bridge, and die-cast tuners.
