AM Special Series Acoustic Guitars by Atkin Guitars
AM Special Series Acoustic Guitars by Atkin Guitars
AM Special series is situated within the Atkin Guitars catalog and offers a total of eight models. All are fully acoustic and all feature all-mahogany construction. Mahogany is the most common and the most popular tone wood for such guitars and series, for it gives great tone, while remaining very affordable. AM Special Dreadnought is a non-cutaway model made by Atkin, entire body is made of mahogany, as is the neck. These two are connected through a dovetail joint placed at the standard 14th fret. Besides mahogany, only ebony is prominently used on AM Special series models. It is used for the bridge and fingerboard sections. Bridge is a standard belly one, while the fingerboard has 20 frets with side dot position markers. Grover tuners on this model are plated in nickel.
