AM Special Series Acoustic Guitars by Atkin Guitars
0 is the smallest body contour in current production in Atkin catalog. Back in 19th century, this one was a standard contour and was among the big ones. However, today is the smallest. AM Special series features models with all-mahogany constructions. The only tone wood used on these steel-stringers other than mahogany is ebony. Entire body of AM Special 0 is made of solid mahogany. Within the body, Atkin installs prewar scalloped bracing. On the outside, mahogany binding around the edges of the top and back panels, nitrocellulose gloss finish over the natural color and mother-of-pearl rosette decorate the body. This body is paired with a standard mahogany neck through a 14th fret fingerboard. Both the belly-contoured bridge and 20-fret fingerboard are made of ebony. Grover tuners are plated in nickel on this one.
