J-45 model is Atkin`s take on the slope shoulder dreadnought contour. This contour is called jumbo and small jumbo by other manufacturers, while the regular full sized jumbo is named super jumbo. However, J-45 is also a name of Gibson`s slope shoulder model and it`s turned into a class, a body contour style at Atkin Guitars. This particular J-45 belongs to the AM Special series, which deals with a variety of models made entirely of mahogany. This means that back, side, top panel and neck on J-45 are made of mahogany. Only color option for this fully acoustic steel-stringer is natural and it comes with high gloss finish. Belly-contoured bridge and standard 20-fret fingerboard on this model are made of ebony. Grover tuners are plated in nickel.
