00 is a bit bigger than 0 contour and is also a bit younger. Both can be dated back to 19th century, when they were considered large and standard. Today, they have retained the standard body contour status, but are on the opposite side of the size scale. 00 model from the AM Special series comes as a fully acoustic steel-stringed guitar with body made entirely of mahogany, solid mahogany. Within the body Atkin installs prewar scalloped bracing, while on the outside, the body is decorated with mahogany binding around back and top panels, glossy nitrocellulose finish and elegant mother-of-pearl rosette. Mahogany is also used for the standard shaped neck. As for the bridge and fingerboard, they`re made of ebony. Hardware is provided by Grover and it`s plated in nickel.
