Mahogany is one of the most popular tone woods in the acoustic guitar industry, especially for steel-stringed acoustics. Many of the big and some smaller manufacturers have models, or even entire series of models with bodies made entirely of mahogany. It is one of the most affordable and popular options for one-tonewood guitars. Atkin has a series of eight models made entirely of mahogany and AM Special OM is one of them. It comes with a non-cutaway body with fully acoustic construction. This all-mahogany body is paired with a neck also made of mahogany. On the other side, bridge and fingerboard are made of ebony and these two are the only tone woods used on this model. Even the bracing around the edges of the sound board is made of mahogany.
