No history of guitar could ever be complete without the legendary L-1. Originally, it was one of Gibson`s prewar models and it was the main guitar of Robert Johnson, the godfather of modern blues. Atkin`s variant comes with all-solid wood construction and luxurious appointments. Solid mahogany is used for the back and side panels, while the top is made of solid spruce. Scalloped X bracing within the body is also made of spruce. On the outside, this model features Vintage Sunburst color scheme with high gloss finish over it. Ivoroid binding is combined with ivoroid rosette and nickel-plated Kluson tuning machines. Neck is made of mahogany and it features vintage-styled 12th fret dovetail joint. Both the bridge and 17-fret fingerboard on this model are made of rosewood.
