Tobias basses are being reintroduced into the Epiphone catalog. Designed by Michael Tobias some twenty years ago, these basses are aimed at providing the ergonomic, comfortable and modern shaped instruments with cutting edge sound. Epiphone`s Toby Standard IV has a double cutaway flat top body made of basswood. It comes in ebony and alpine white colors, both finished in polyurethane gloss. The neck is hard maple with asymmetrical contour and bolt-on joint. Rosewood fingerboard has 24 medium jumbo frets with no inlays. PVC nut is 1.61" wide, scale is 34" long and the fingerboard radius measures at 12". Bridge is fully adjustable flush mount. Pickups are Tobias single coils placed in the bridge and middle with master volume, bridge EQ, neck EQ and pickup blend knobs. Hardware is black nickel. MSRP is set at $249.
