KZ 4 is the basic model of the Z series of solid-bodied electric basses made by the Kingston division of the famous MTD. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of mahogany back and maple burl top. This combination is the standard one for the entire Z line. It brings the super tight low end and power of the thick mahogany and the brightness and focus of the maple. On the contoured top, KZ 4 features the regular four-saddled hardtail bridge and a pair of Bartolini soapbar pickups. Controls unit is the series standard five-piece (master volume, pickup balance knob and a three-band equalizer). Neck on this model is fast, comfortable and features a 24-fingerboard on it`s top. Maple and rosewood variants are available.
