Z series is considered by Mr Tobias to be a bridge series between the Kingston And USA sides of the catalog, though technically belonging to the Kingston range. Z series models come in four, five and six-string variants. Fretted and fretless options are available, as well as the left and right-hand orientation. KZ 6 is the king of the Z series. It comes with the six-string construction and the series standard design. Solid and double-cut body of this behemoth is made of mahogany base and maple burl top. On the top, MTD installs a six-saddled hardtail bridge and a pair of Bartolini soapbar pickups with a standard five-piece controls unit. On the top of the wide, but fast neck, 24-fret fingerboard is featured. Maple and rosewood variants are available.
