MTD is a brand dedicated to the production of high quality bass guitars. Solid-bodied electric basses make up the majority of the MTD catalog and are the main focus of this world-wide renowned brand. There are two tiers, American boutique range made personally by Michael Tobias and Kingston which is manufactured in China. The Artist is one of the Kingston series. It`s role in the catalog is to provide a bass with an aggressive tone and simple construction and design. The Artist 5 is the series main five-stringer. It comes with a solid and flat-top body made of basswood. Lone humbucker with open-coil design is installed in front of the standard hardtail bridge. 24-fret fingerboard can be made either of rosewood, or maple.
