Yamaha is one of the largest and most popular guitar and bass manufacturers around. They`re also undisputedly the biggest manufacturer from Japan. For 2013, Yamaha is updating the catalog with a multitude of novelties and TRBX series has received four of them. 304, 305, 504 and 505 are the names of new TRBX models. TRBX 304 is the model this review`s dedicated to. It comes with a very modern double-cut body made of mahogany. It is carved on top and features completely solid construction. Back of the body is contoured for improved comfort and equipped with four-bolt neck joint for the ultimate stability. There is no binding around the top, nor TRBX 304 features a top wood cover. Neck on this model is made of five laminates of maple and mahogany. This type of neck construction makes it more durable and stable. On it`s top, there`s a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with 1-1/2" string nut, dot inlays and 10" radius. Bridge section on this 34"-scaled four-stringer is equipped with a high mass bridge with top-load construction. In it`s front, there are two MHB humbuckers. Master volume, bass, treble and pickup pan knobs are featured in controls unit. Also, there`s a three-position blade switch for selecting equalizer modes.
