TRBX series in Yamaha`s electric bass section of the catalog is a workhorse series, offering great value for the money invested. These basses are made to be tone powerhouses, while still retaining reasonable price tags. For 2013, Yamaha introduces four new models into the series and these four comprise the current lineup. 304, 305, 504 and 505 are their names. All four models come with solid double-cut bodies, bolted necks and super-sized humbucker pickups. The modern design of these basses is magnificently combined with versatile tone. TRBX 504 is the 500 level four-stringer with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany. It features the carved top, modern double cutaway and bolt-on neck joint. Bridge section is equipped with a five-saddled high mass bridge with black nickel plating. In it`s front, Yamaha installs a pair of HHB5 humbuckers equipped with an elaborate electronics unit. Master volume, bass, treble, middle and pickups pan knob are accompanied by an active/passive switch. Neck on this model is bolted to the body and made of five pieces of maple and mahogany. On it`s top, there`s a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot inlays and 1.5" wide string nut. Die-cast tuners on the headstock are arranged in 2+2 pattern.
