Gibson is entering the market competition with a set of seven-stringed guitars, of which one is the Flying V 7-String. This is a standard V, it has a solid, flat body made of mahogany. mahogany and the Alnico pickups are the foundation of the famous Gibson tone. Body of this model is only available in black color with glossy finish and gold-plated hardware. Bridge section features a tune-o-matic bridge with seven saddles in the front and a stoptail bar in the back. Instead of their own, Gibson installs a set of EMG active pickups. 81-7 in the bridge and 707 in the neck. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard sits on top of the set in mahogany neck.
