USA Trans AM model belongs to the USA series of electric guitars. USA is the top tier of Dean catalog, excluding custom shop models and special editions. It was introduced into the catalog at this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. Basically, this model follows the trail blazed by Gibson`s legendary Firebird and gives the player a less extreme looking Z model. Sort of a vintage vibe radiates from this model, but don`t be fooled, this one can take on any style and music genre, be it modern, or be it vintage. Body of this model is solid, single-cut and made entirely of mahogany. It is flat on top and it features a big plastic pickguard on it. Back of the body is contoured for better playability. Black with gloss finish is the main color option, though additional color schemes are available. Neck is made of mahogany and it features C contour in the back. On it`s top dean installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Mother-of-pearl block inlays and 1-11/16" string nut complete the fingerboard. Pickups on this model are Dean USA DMT humbuckers with standard controls unit in the background. Bridge section has tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar.
