With TE-407, ESP takes the LTD Side of the TE series onto the new ground - the extended range territory. TE`s maiden voyage into the seven-string region looks pretty solid and is rather well executed. Based on the TE-406, this 407 pretty much copies the successful recipe formulated in the six-string section. Also, following the 406`s lead, 407 comes in two color variants - Black Satin and Snow White Satin. Both feature black hardware and minimalist styling. Body of this model is single-cut, flat on top and made entirely of high grade mahogany. As it is quite common in the 400 range, ESP partners the mahogany body with a maple neck (this time, it`s bolt-on joint, though set-in, set-through and even neck-through options can be seen). Seven-saddled hardtail bridge has string-through-body construction and black satin finish. In front of it, EMG 81-7 occupies the bridge position and 707 takes the neck spot. Together with mahogany/maple construction and low B string, these two bad boys can give any seven-stringer out there a good run for its money. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and Grover tuners wrap up the specs list for this marvelous seven-stringer.
