If there was one word to describe every single aspect of this guitar, it would have to be amazing, or heavenly, or stunning. It is the closest possible replica of Joe Perry`s own 1959 Les Paul, a guitar that is among LP enthusiasts and collectors known as one of the best ever made. Gibson Custom has unveiled the 1959 Joe Perry Les Paul at NAMM 2013 and makes it available in a very limited series. 50 copies will be made as aged & signed, 50 as aged and 100 as VOS. All three variants come with gorgeous Faded Tobacco Burst with nitrocellulose gloss finish. Body of this model is made of traditional mahogany back/flamed maple top combo and is paired with a set in neck. Body is bound in beautiful creme binding and covered with an elevated pickguard. Bridge section features nickel-plated tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar in the back. Custom Bucker pickups are installed in the front and feature classic LP controls unit. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and features '59 rounded contour in the back. It is somewhere in between the early '50s necks and slim taper introduced in 1960s. On it`s top Gibson installs a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Vintage Kluson tuners wrap the specs list.
