Les Pauls with gold tops have always had and still have a very special place among the fans of LP. Ever since the early days, Ebony and Goldtop finishes have earned special positions and "Goldies" have managed to become separate models. With this model, Gibson Custom pays tribute to one of the most popular Goldtops ever, the famous 1959 Goldie. It comes with a solid, single cut mahogany body with carved maple top. Top is made of two pieces of bookmatched flame maple with creme binding and high gloss finish. Tune-o-matic bridge is paired with the stoptail bar and it`s plated in chrome. Active humbuckers in the pickups department are equipped with separate volume and tone contours. Mahogany neck is set in and it`s fit with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
