1959 Les Paul is most certainly among the best and finest contenders for the title of the Les Paul of all Les Pauls. It`s replicas, reissues and tribute models have a continuous string ever since the original went off the market. Unwavering popularity and constant demand for the perfect replica have driven Gibson Custom`s luthiers to develop, make and unveil the 1959 VOS Les Paul Standard Reissue model for 2013. This model is making it`s debut at 2013 Frankfurt Musikmesse along with the rest of the novelties from Gibson USA and Gibson Custom. 1959 VOS Les Paul Standard Reissue comes with a completely solid, single-cut body made of mahogany back and carved maple top. Top panel is bound in classic creme binding and is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer. This 1959 reissue model is available in a total of twelve color options. Six of them are VOS and six have regular gloss finish. Price tags for them all are uniform and are set at $8,892. Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar comprise the bridge section. On the other side of the 24-3/4" scale Gibson installs a set of six Kluson vintage-styled tuning machines. Custom Bucker pickups are installed on this model and feature the classic controls unit. Set in mahogany neck is equipped with a bit slimmer variant of the 1959 contour and is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
