Robby Krieger 1954 Les Paul Custom is one of the most important additions to the catalog this fall and also one of the priciest. It is a recreation of Robby`s own 1954 LP Custom he bought used in 1968. After the recording session, it was named "L.A. Woman", after the song of the same name. Only 300 copies will be made before this model is archived. First 50 will be hand aged by Gibson and played, approved and signed by Mr Krieger, himself. Next 100 will be hand aged, while the final 150 will have the VOS treatment. Solid and single-cut body of this majestic LP is made of a single and solid piece of mahogany. Multi-ply aged cream binding is applied around the top, fingerboard and headstock. Two-piece bridge unit features gold plating and is fronted by an unusual pickups combo. Bridge position features a Gibson P-90, while the neck position is fit with a Seymour Duncan minibucker. Classic LP controls unit is installed with them. Mahogany neck features the `50s contour in the back and a 22-fret ebony fingerboard on top. Vintage-styled tuners with waffle backs are featured on the headstock. The MSRP for this jewel of rock history is set at $6,665.
