Only a selected few bands and artists in the world have achieved the cult status of Rolling Stones, and even fewer have been around for as long. Though not a rolling stone from the beginning, Ron Wood joined the band in 1975, and has been the fourth pillar of the band (Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Charlie Watts being the original three) ever since. Throughout more than five decades of music career, Mr Wood`s played a huge variety of styles and music genres ranging from blues and country to hard rock. Gibson Custom Ron Wood L-5S is the latest Ron Wood signature guitar, and is the first one to cover the entire scope of Mr Wood`s work. Chambered and single-cut, the body of this super elegant six-string is made of maple in its entirety. On the tuxedo top, classic two-piece bridge unit and a pair of Burstbucker pickups are featured. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch make up the controls unit. Five-piece maple/walnut neck is attached to the body via the mortise & tenon joint, and features a custom profile in the back. 22-fret ebony fingerboard with nylon nut and block inlays, gold-plated Grover Kidney tuners and the standard 24-3/4" scale wrap up the specs list.
