The legendary SG is the second most popular solid-bodied guitar in Gibson USA`s catalog and the longest continually produced model (it`s been in constant production since 1961). 2017 lineup brings six new models, three in "T" section and three in "HP".
SG Faded 2017 HP costs $400 more than its Traditional twin ($799) and brings a laundry list of changes. It starts off with a solid and beveled mahogany body (offered in Worn Brown and Worn Cherry), glued-in slim taper neck (w/fast access heel in the back) and 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (w/1.745" nut, dot inlays).
Most important changes from the "T" series model are found in hardware section and they include robotic G-Force tuners, modern chrome-plated control pots, aluminum bridge (w/titanium saddles) and big SG pickguard. 490R/T pickups are the same as ones featured on the T variant.
