AS153 is one of the new models introduced into the Artstar range this winter. It was introduced at the 2014 NAMM show in Anaheim. Along with the AF151F, it comprises the Artstar series. It comes with a fully hollow and double-cut body made of flamed maple back, sides and top. Flamed maple top is bound in white binding and is fit with a pair of vintage-styled holes (one on the each side of the bridge). Also, there is a decorative pickguard made of flamed maple, to match the body. There are three color options available for this gorgeous six-stringer: Tequilla Sunrise, Antique Yellow Burst and Antique Amber. All three are finished in gloss and all have gold-plated hardware. On the top, Ibanez installs the standard two-piece bridge section with ART bridge in the front and a stoptail bar in the back. Super 80 humbuckers installed in the bridge and neck positions are passive and have an elaborate controls unit which gives the players amazing possibilities. Mahogany/maple neck is set in and is topped with a series standard 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
