Hybrid series started out in the mid-2000s as MK`s answer to the rise in popularity of the hybrid electro-acoustic guitars. The main idea behind the Hybrid, and the similar series is to offer a two-in-one axe, able to fill in as both a standard electric as well as a proper acoustic guitar. Hybrid Special 10th Anniversary is the flagship model of the Hybrid series. It is available in Burl Burst, with gloss finish and gold-plated hardware. Core construction features include a chambered mahogany body, burl maple top (two-piece construction, two stylized "f" holes), mahogany neck (C profile, set-in joint), and rosewood fingerboard (abalone block inlays, medium jumbo frets). Main hardware and electronics features include two Rockfield humbucking pickups, Fishman pickup & preamp system, acoustic bridge, and Grover tuners.
