C-1 Platinum is the basic model of the newly established Platinum series. It is scheduled to make its debut at the 2015 NAMM along with the rest of the 2015 lineup. The main characteristics of this remarkable intermediate/upper intermediate class series are satin-finished paint jobs, EMG 57/66 pickups, 24-fret fingerboards with distinct inlays and set neck construction with ultra access cutaways. C-1 Platinum kicks off with a solid and double-cut C-1 body with the modern top contour, set in neck joint and black/platinum binding around the top. Both the base and the carved top are made of the same material - mahogany. Said EMG 57 and 66 pickups give a rich and generous all-round tone, along with superb definition and clarity. Separate volume knobs, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch complete the controls. Three-piece maple neck rocks the standard C profile in the back and an ebony fingerboard on the top. Extra jumbo frets with Tempest (trapezoid) inlays, regular 1.653" wide TUSQ nut and 14" radius complete the fingerboard. To wrap up the great features list, Schecter installs a set of their own locking tuners onto the headstock.
