Schecter`s Platinum line is a brand new series introduced for 2015. It kicks off at NAMM along with other catalog updates and active models. The initial lineup of the Platinum range is made up of a total of six guitars. This metal-oriented bunch of six-stringers is made up of one C-1 model, two Solo-IIs, a pair of newly designed S-II axes and one V-1 model. V starts off with a classic V-1 body made entirely of mahogany and a set in maple neck (a standard combination for the entire Platinum series). Satin Silver is the only color option available for this model. Black binding, white plastic pickguard (reminiscent of the pickguards featured on the classic Gibson Flying V models) and black hardware round off the distinguished Platinum styling. One-piece bridge unit features a black-painted tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction, while the pickups combo in front of them is made up of the classic EMG 57 in the bridge and 66 in the neck position. Mahogany neck rocks the thin C profile in the back and a 24-fret ebony fingerboard on the top. Schecter tuners on the headstock wrap the specs list.

Great value, good specs. Can't find any real weak spots, but it is of course a production model, so don't expect hand built quality.
