Platinum is a brand new series of electric guitars made for serious metalheads who seek an upper intermediate guitar with discreet design and robust tone. C-1 is, as it is customary in the Schecter catalog, the basic model of the series. Left-handed version of this model comes with exactly the same specs list and reduced color palette (Satin Silver is ditched in favor of Satin Black). Solid and double-cut body of this model features the classic C-1 carved top, ultra access cutaway and set in neck joint. Material used for the body is mahogany, both the base and the carved top are made of it. Top is bound in silver binding and contrasted with chrome-plated hardware. Tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction comprises the bridge unit. EMG`s 57 in the bridge and 66 in the neck offer more than enough power to keep you on track in rehearsals, in studio and on the stage with their virtually infinite supplies of power and sustain. Maple neck is a three piece with a thin C profile in the back and an ebony fingerboard on the top. TUSQ nut, 24 extra jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays are featured on the fingerboard. Schecter`s locking tuners are found on the headstock.
