S-II is the continuation of the simple and straightforward approach to rock guitars in Schecter`s catalog. It is, like the famous S-1, based on the legendary SG by Gibson. The main difference between two Schecter S concepts is that the S-1 has almost completely symmetrical cutaways, while the S-II concept rocks the asymmetrical cutaway (more of a Strat-like proportion). For 2015 Platinum Series S-II Platinum comes with super simple and straightforward design and construction, and upgraded guns. Solid and beveled double-cut body is made entirely of mahogany and features the ultra access cutaway. On it`s top, chrome-plated bridge unit includes the classic tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar in the back combo just like every S-II model introduced for 2015. Pickups section is upgraded with EMG`s 57 in the bridge and 66 in the neck position, upgrading this rocker into a proper headbanger. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch comprise the controls unit. Three-piece neck is made of maple and it features a thin C profile in the back. 24-fret ebony fingerboard sits on its top. Schecter tuners wrap up the specs list for this metal machine.
