The SBG series continues on the legacy of the iconic Yamaha SG, the guitar which started out in 1974 and became an instant classic. Though more than for decades have passed, little changed about the SG`s essence, it is still a hard-rocking guitar with incredible transformation ability. The current lineup has three models, all based on the popular 1820 class. SBG1820A is a metal-oriented six-string, with active electronics (thus the letter A in its name), slick styling, and a menacing tone. Black and Silver Burst options are available (both with chrome hardware and creme binding). Notable features include a solid mahogany body base, contoured maple top, set-in neck made of mahogany, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard (24-3/4" scale, split triangle inlays), two-piece hardtail bridge, EMG 81/85 pickups, and die-cast tuners.
