With the introduction of the Hellraiser Passive series Schecter looks to attract new players, and the C-1 and C-7 updates aim at long-time fans.
Here, in this article we`ll delve deeper into the 2015 lineup of Schecter`s electric guitar range. On the menu are the Hellraiser and C-1/C-7 ranges. These two can, quite safely, be considered the backbone of the Schecter electric guitars catalog. C is updated with four new models: C-1 Black Ops, C-1 Classic, C-1 E/A, and C-7 Classic. Hellraiser, on the other hand, is being reinforced with a completely new series – Hellraiser Passive. Style-wise these new axes are a combination of the classic Hellraiser and Blackjack concepts. The initial lineup is made up of: C-1 FR Passive, C-1 FR Passive Left Handed, C-1 Passive, C-1 Passive Left Handed, C-7 Passive, C-7 Passive Left Handed, Solo-II Passive and Solo-II Passive Left Handed. They`re all fit with the magnificent Schecter Brimstone pickups. The last model on the list is Hellraiser Hybrid Avenger FR-S.
Schecter Black Ops C-1 is one mean machine. It comes with a stealthy black body made of swamp ash, set in maple neck with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard and Apocalypse VI – hand-wound humbuckers from Schecter`s own Custom Shop. Satin black color of the body and headstock, and black hardware complete the overall theme. 2015 incarnation of the Schecter C-1 Classic features super elegant styling, modern construction and super versatile pickups (Seymour Duncan JB SH-4B in the bridge and Jazz SH-2N in the neck) able to take on every style and era of rock and blues music. What we have here is the third and final C-1 model – Schecter C-1 E/A which is the only semi-hollow electric guitar Schecter has introduced at this year`s NAMM. Style-wise, it`s very close to the C-1 Classic, but instead of the iconic Seymour Duncans, it rocks the mighty Schecter Diamond humbuckers. For further info, check the C-1 E/A detail page on our site or on Schecter Guitar Research official web page.
Schecter C-7 Classic was introduced a couple of months before NAMM as a sneak peek into the 2015 lineup. In essence, this is the seven-string version of the C-1 Classic, only with an extra string and extended range Seymour Duncans. Skipping over to the Hellraiser range, we find the Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Passive – the basic model of the new Hellraiser Passive series. Schecter`s Brimstone pickups, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard and classic Hellraiser construction, as well as the mixed stylistic heritage (gloss-finished color options are inherited straight from the Hellraiser range, while the Satin Black draws a bit onto the Blackjack side of the family). For further info, check the C-1 Passive detail page on our site or on Schecter Guitar Research official web page.
Next in line is Schecter Hellraiser C-1 Passive Left Handed. All of the features attributed to the C-1 passive apply to this model as well. Also, the black chrome hardware, Gothic cross inlays and the standard 25-1/2” scale are shared with the rest of the passive Hellraiser six-strings. No Hellraiser lineup was ever complete without the Floyd Rose models, thus the elegant Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR Passive graces the initial roster of the Hellraiser Passive series.
