With a pair of brand new vintage-oriented series, Ibanez sets a foot in a completely new and unexplored territory - aged and vintage electrics.
Along with an affordable George Benson GB10SE signature and Artcore Expressionist`s AFJ95B with majestic Super 58 humbuckers, Ibanez has introduced two Vintage series with a total of six aged and vintage guitars. The first one on our list is two-model Artstar Vintage. It takes the standard Artstar platform as a base and infuses the concept with chipped paintjob, aged hardware and 50`s, 60`s styling. ASV100FMD and AMV100FMD are its representatives. Artcore Vintage takes a bit different approach, trying to mimic the effect of aged wood. Worn lacquer and brushed hardware are also there. AFV10A, AGV10A, ASV10A and AMV10A make up the initial lineup. Main goals of both the Artstar and Artcore Vintage lines are to establish Ibanez as a serious and dedicated vintage guitar brand and to prove that an aged guitar does not have to cost a small fortune.
Ibanez GB10SE is the only signature model Ibanez has introduced into the Hollow Body range this January. It is a less expensive version of George`s main signatures. Premium features include GB Special minibucker pickups, ebony bridge & fingerboard, gold-plated hardware and elaborate tailpiece. Ibanez ASV100FMD opens up the Artstar Vintage series. It comes with a heavily aged appearance, worn paint and brushed hardware. Super 58 pickups, 22-fret fingerboard, Artstar neck and luxurious abalone/MOP inlays are among the premium features. For a more comprehensive review and a full specs list, check the ASV100FMD detail page on our site or Ibanez Guitars official web page.
Ibanez AMV100FMD very similar to the ASV version, thin and double-cut body, Artstar neck with a 22-fret fingerboard on top, worn paint, worn hardware and Super 58 pickups are all there. The only significant difference is the existence of a push/pull switch on this model`s neck tone pot. For a more comprehensive review and a full specs list, check the AMV100FMD detail page on our site or Ibanez Guitars official web page.
Ibanez AFV10A belongs to the Artcore Vintage line along with three more models. It is a fully hollow jazz box with single-cut body, 20-fret fingerboard and Classic Elite pickups.
