Earth50 is the latest addition to the Earth series lineup. It is a part of the brand new concept Cort calls EZPlay. The core features of this concept include lighter string gauges, shorter scales, and smaller bodies. Its aim is to provide more playing options for female players, kids, and all players who find full-sized steel-stringers too cumbersome and hard to get along with. Earth50 offers a non-cutaway dreadnought body (w/mahogany back & sides, solid spruce top, laser-etched rosette), a mahogany neck (standard C profile, satin finish, 14th fret dovetail joint), 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (1-11/16" wide ABS nut, 24-3/4" scale, dot inlays, 14" radius), die-cast tuning machines, fixed rosewood bridge, and scalloped X bracing. There are no electronics installed on this model, nor does Cort offer any options in that segment.
